At long last apple have done it. Here are some reviews of the games now available to buy from iTunes:
It all started years ago when a crazy Russian decided that different shaped coloured
bricks falling from the sky would make a great computer game. I have absolutely no
idea what made come up with such a ridiculous concept, perhaps he had consumed a
little too much vodka. Whatever happened Tetris has become a much loved classic.
Just in case you were unsure about the rumours I can assure you that they're true... you
do control a spinning stone frog shooting different coloured balls from his mouth in an
attempt to match three of the same colour on a constantly moving conveyor belt... glad
we got that one cleared up.
Wacca wacca wacca wacca wacca... without any shadow of a doubt this has to be the ultimate
old school arcade game. It's kept me amused for years with it's simple yet hectic gameplay.
But can such a classic actually work on the iPod, without a joystick?
Mahjong always stuck me as the sort of complicated game that takes years to learn and a
lifetime to master. This game only took me a few minutes to work out which made me feel
incredibly intelligent. Then a friend pointed out to me that it isn't actually real
mahjong... still fun though.
Pong for the 21st century... but good pong. Pong with multi bat bonuses, pong where you smash
things up, pong with a hardcore industrial soundtrack but best of all, and this is the
ultimate clincher for me, pong with guns!
Poker is a fantastic game that takes minutes to learn and a lifetime to master.
Texas Hold'em is recognised as the daddy of all the different types of poker and
now you can play it on your iPod. Granted, you're not going to get rich playing
this way but you won't lose money either.
Golf on your iPod. What a fantastic idea. The next time you go and play a real round why not
take your iPod with you so when you're waiting to tee off, or if you loose a ball in the
rough you can chill out with a few calming holes of the far superior digital version.
Whether or not you're a fan of Sims or Bowling, this iPod game is certainly well worth a look.
All the fun of bowling with the added attraction of improving or destroying the lives of
make-believe characters.
From the creators of Guitar Hero comes Phase. Dance-mat madness meets ipod game in
finger-tapping fun. But how does it compare to its older, bigger brother?
Brought to us by the same people that are responsible for fallen pop-princess, Britney Spears,
is Musika which by all accounts is a ground breaking visualizing music iPod game.
In reality the game play is pretty dull, no, actually it is completely and utterly dull.
Is this the ultimate in virtual cool for your iPod? Sink some stripes and create your own
hustler in the new iPod Game from EA games, Sims Pool.
From first glance you might think this ipod game is aimed at the under fives but don't be fooled!
This game is ultra addictive!

Pop Cap bring bejeweled to your favourite MP3 player. Warning: Playing Bejeweled can be addictive.
An entertainment trivia game for your iPod all for the same price as a song from iTunes.
But is cheap good?
If you like Bejewelled you should like this. Fun, addictive game play that you can play over
and over again.
A beefed-up version of the embedded Solitaire game, this is one iPod game you will
either love or hate.
The first RPG style game for iPod is here in the form of Lost. But where are all the others?
He's little, blue, bouncy and has a friend called Tails. No, it isn't Ron Jeremy it's
Sonic.... on your iPod!
