Fat free poker is an adaptation of poker for the iPhone and iPod touch. It has a good recreation of a poker set up (table etc) with the ability to talk to other people using the game through the messaging system at the bottom of the screen. The chat can be seen in full screen if you rotate the iPhone/iPod touch and this removes the game from the screen for pure chat. The game involves no real money being used so is good to play without loosing your life savings. Although it took me a while to totally understand it due to its minimal instructions I think I have the hang of it now. First you choose the amount you are winning my pressing bet one to increase the bet by 1 dollar to the maximum of $5 or bet max to place the whole maximum ($5). After this if you increased the bid using bet one you have to play deal and if you used bet max this is done automatically. Cards are then shown to you and you can choose which cards you would like to keep which you think can make you a good hand and then you press deal and the cards that you did not hold are dealt again. After this you see if your gamble was worth it. If you have a winning set then money is credited to your virtual account. There is an odd apple system where you can get apples from cards and once you get 4 of them you go onto a bonus round to get more money. I have only achieved this once and have no idea how I got there. This then showed me a few apples to pick with different monetary values hidden behind them. I do not know if every bonus round is like this as I only achieved it once.

This is a good poker game with the relaxed atmosphere that comes with spending virtual money. The apple collection bonus round could be removed as it seems a little unnecessary. The loading time is a little slow and removing the apple bonus round should help reduce this. The chat feature could also be removed to help this as it seems a little unnecessary plus you have to sign up to use it when this is not required for the main game.

Overall it is good poker action with just a few minor inconveniences.
